On the eve of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Amrita Vidyalayam Mangaluru proudly organized ‘Abhinandanam’ – a heartfelt felicitation program to honor the heroes of the Kargil War. The event paid tribute to three esteemed veterans: Subedar Appu Shetty, PO Sudheer Pai, and Naik Leeladhar, whose bravery and sacrifices during the Kargil War continue to inspire the nation.
The veterans shared their invaluable experiences from the battlefield, leaving an indelible mark on the audience. Their stories of courage, resilience, and patriotism served as a powerful inspiration for students, encouraging many to consider careers in the defense forces.
Following their addresses, the event featured an interactive session where enthusiastic students eagerly posed numerous questions. PO Sudheer Pai responded with remarkable ingenuity, captivating the audience with his insightful and engaging answers.
Adding to the significance of the event was the presence of Mr. Yashwanth Shetty, an ex-serviceman and parent of an alumnus from the school’s first batch. His attendance underscored the strong connection between the school and the values of service and sacrifice.
